
I think that I must be part Gremlin in that it’s not a good idea for me to eat after midnight, no matter how tempting it is. Last night, after I went to bed, I kept thinking about the leftovers in the fridge. My stomach seemed to growl each time I thought about the macaroni and cheese, in particular. I tossed and turned a few times, trying to will myself to sleep, but that just didn’t happen. Finally, around midnight, I padded down the hall and raided the refrigerator. I pulled out a book to read while I munched on the leftovers from supper. That macaroni and cheese was soooo good.
However, after I finally returned to bed, I began to regret my late-night snack. I think that I had a bit of a food hangover. Now I was tossing and turning not because of the tempting thoughts of macaroni and cheese, but because the indigestion was intensifying. Thank goodness for Tums, although it took a while to settle down. Finally, I was able to drift off to sleep and I’m sure that tonight, I’ll stay in place no matter what’s in the refrigerator!
Nothing beats a good homemade Mac and Cheese! Cravings are tricky to combat. Nothing worse than lying in bed, and rather than counting sheep you are contemplating Macaroni!
